The rugged stainless steel blades of these squares are a full 1.5 mm thick (most other squares have blades 1 mm thick) and have etched in permanent graduations on both sides. The graduations are both metric and English. The bases are hardened steel. The accuracy is + - .001 inch over the length of the blade. The small sizes (2 and 3 inch) make great pocket squares for checking the squareness of small projects such as scroll saw or band saw blades and boxes.
